the tower at Hastings college of the law
These student residences sit inside a beautiful 1930's tower of terra cotta.
The original wood windows are in dire need of replacement, but given the height and extreme exposure, only high performance windows will be adequate. We're working with the State Historic Preservation Office (SHIPO) to find a suitable replacement.
This residential building towering over Market Street and the Tenderloin, needed restoration of its masonry and terra-cotta cladding, window replacements, repair to rusting steel elements, and anchoring of an ornamental parapet wall.
Fourteen floors above the sidewalk, this large parapet wall needed bracing.
Utilizing our in-house structural team, were were able to creatively restore and anchor the parapet wall while keeping the facade historically accurate.
